Aircraft Completion & Refurbishment Oversight
Completion Oversight & Technical Assurance
SRAS will oversee a new aircraft delivery and completion from the OEM and provide a layer of technical assurance and operational alignment that is difficult to replicate otherwise. Gulfstream’s new variant of aircraft (fly by wire technology) completions are highly customized, involving complex avionics, cabin systems, and mission-specific configurations. An experienced aviator understands how these elements translate into real-world operations, ensuring that cockpit layouts, software options, connectivity systems, and performance capabilities are configured to support the client’s specific mission profile from day one.
One of the primary advantages is quality control during the completion and acceptance phase. SRAS can identify discrepancies in workmanship, system integration, or aircraft performance that may not be apparent to non-operational stakeholders. By overseeing ground tests, functional checks, and the final acceptance flight, they ensure the aircraft meets contractual specifications and operates as intended before delivery is finalized—avoiding costly post-delivery corrections.
Delivery Coordination & Operational Readiness
Additionally, an experienced and knowledgeable professional acts as an effective liaison between the client, the OEM, and completion center teams Their familiarity with procedures, documentation, and delivery protocols helps streamline communication, resolve issues quickly, and keep the program on schedule. They can also anticipate common delivery challenges—such as software updates, cabin system integration quirks, or certification nuances—and address them proactively.
From an operational readiness standpoint, having SRAS involved ensures a smoother entry into service. They can assist with developing standard operating procedures, coordinating pilot training, validating MEL/CDL considerations, and ensuring the aircraft is fully prepared for domestic and international missions immediately upon delivery. Ultimately, this oversight protects the client’s investment, enhances safety, and ensures the aircraft is delivered not just complete, but fully mission-capable and optimized for long-term use.
